well, when i first walked onto the beach, i saw a dude free fall into a backdoor pit, he landed the take off, but got swallowed.... this was from down the beach a way - when i got in front of the wave, the guy had made it to the beach with both halves of his board....
so that dude was mick fanning, and i soon realized that i was not surfing.. most of the waves were not made, but there were some amazing ones!
the lady getting pitched is a pro that surfs big waves...
the color is shit on most of them due to where i was sitting with the sea-spray and light - i did not know this bad until i got back here... def. should have moved down the beach a bit....
so another thing - the g450x is not an option... the one thing many many, just about everyone told me about here is that things get ripped off if left out... well, i was planning on locking the bike with a chain... which i am sure i would do most of the time, but since there would be times when i did not, early morning runs to the store and things like that, i figured that since the bike does not need a key to start! it is not the bike for me in hawaii....
so now considering an f650x or somehting like that or maybe the f800gs..

glad you made it to Hawaii! Am going to LA for the first time since coming back to the NYC. Wish I could keep going west in your direction... all motorcycles look good to but then again I am a dad...get some good ones for the both of us. gr

are you moving to la, or just visiting? definitely come out here if you can! i just found out that the break in front of my place had a real bad attack a few months ago - always nice to hear!
but did surf there for a bunch of hours today!
