cant wait to get the hell out of here, it has been cold and rainy, and i have no shoes! ive had a cold since flying to korea, finally it seems to be lessening today...
listening to probably too much elliott smith, and too many emails with an old friend, not really uplifting stuff... all combined, i need to get the hell out of here, and get in the ocean!!!!
only one more night, after which i have to spend a night in korea again before getting back to where i should be!!! having some wine, not good wine whatsoever, but since i really have not had wine much of late, it tastes like ambrosia... course i have no clue whatsoever what ambrosia tastes like...
spent a little time toying with my new lens, and even though this shot is completely out of focus and underexposed, it seems to capture something of me (my first self portrait!) in this country (ive been saying that i dont think i am going back to the usa, well, i dont want to come back to japan either!!, probably much more so...)

like the self portrait...as for wine...we still have a bottle of your mount veeder at my house...whenever you return for a day or two...we'll save it till then...might get better with age....will it be 1yr...5yrs...ten yrs or more...
At first I thought I saw nothing in the photo. Looked harder and saw TJ. Not enough of TJ, but some. Bet you wish you had a 1.5 bottle of Woodbridge Cab right now. You wouldn't scoff at it I'll bet after what you've been drinking.

i think if you move the screen a bit you can see the photo better, and if you click on it, it increase in size...

man, i loved tokyo. sucks that the weather is shitty and that you have that cold. at least you've got the wine.
yeah, the pic is straight out of the camera shot in a dark room at f1.2, i kind of like it without any editing - but no worries, do what you will..
japan is just a bit too structured for me.... i prefer the craziness of the tropics, a bit less uptight...
actually thinking if for whatever reason things dont work out in indo, i may give the southwest of oz a shot, a bit south of perth...
or maybe south africa...
if you're going to do OZ do east, please. please. sydney itself is probably too much of a city (it's way laid back though) but there's all the rest of the coast. and we'll be in sydney half of the time.
